The Cabinet Office says it'll take all necessary steps to protect information submitted in this month's census.
A Freedom of Information request asked about how the data would be shared, and processed.
In its response, the government said a Data Protection Impact Assessment had been carried out and the data would not be shared.
This year's interim census is due to get underway on Sunday, April 26.
