DAFF Minister Talks About Decision to Merge His Department
DAFF Minister Phil Gawne has said in relation to the recently announced Government shake up, he would rather his Department was left alone, but understands the reasons behind it's merger.
As it stands DAFF is going to be merged with Community, Culture and Leisure, a move that has angered the Island's farming community.
He said although it's an unfortunate move he understand's the decision saying that, given it generates a lot more revenue for the Island, it's an obvious decision to give Finance the new Economic Development Department.
