DAFF Cease Provision For Farmers In Light of Budget Cut Backs
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has announced its first significant cut backs in light of the setting of the new budget.
Among the services they will be withdrawing is the testing of animals for BSE, Livestock improvement and the provision of lime.
The lime provision programme will end immediately.
Claims that were made prior to DAFF withdrawing their financial support must be made no later than 5pm on 31st March.
The Department will also be looking at revising their Farm and Horticultural Improvement Scheme with options being considered for its’ funding.
