A father from Douglas says he hopes other families will learn from his experience after his son fell seriously ill when he took an ecstasy tablet he found in a lane.
Last Friday, the young boy and two of his friends were treated at Noble's Hospital after they swallowed the tablets they claim they discovered near Tynwald Street.
All three are said to be recovering following their experience.
The boy's dad says he hopes his son's misfortune can help educate other children about the dangers of taking unknown substances:
