Plans to extend cycle lanes and ease traffic congestion in Douglas will be presented to the public on Friday.
The Department of Infrastructure proposals include more cycle lanes and better walking routes.
The government project is called 'Active Travel' and it aims to encourage workers in the capital to leave their cars at home.
If it is given the green light, the changes would include a new cycle path along Springfield and Pulrose Road to its junction with Peel road.
A government spokesman said: "Improving people's health and improving the environment are key objectives for the Isle of Man.
"Encouraging people to walk and cycle more has the potential to drastically improve people's health".
A public presentation will take place at 6.45 on Friday (9th July) evening at the Methodist Hall in Pulrose.
