Cybersecurity office will guard against online threats

The government's announced a new cyber-security force to protect from hackers.

Chief Minister Howard Quayle says with growing threats from the internet it's vital that the Island is protected.

The Government says if the Isle of Man were to be cyber-attacked; it would damage not only the Island's economy but also its reputation.

The Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance will focus on areas such as information risk, cyber security and data protection and will be spearheaded by North Douglas MHK David Ashford.
