Crowds greeted Douglas’s new Trent-class lifeboat as it arrived this weekend.
Named the Betty Huntbatch, the RNLI station's fastest ever vessel, she'd travelled 501 nautical miles from Poole in Dorset.
She was then blessed in a ceremony at St Matthew’s Church.
The charity says there will now be a week of intensive crossover training to get the crew adjusted to the new lifeboat type.
