The Department of Infrastructure says its latest controlled crossing is now operational.
The crossing, where the Heritage Trail meets Glen Darragh Road, was brought into operation late last Tuesday.
The crossing has special buttons for horse riders as well as pedestrians.
A high-friction road surface treatment has yet to be installed on either side, and the department says work will go ahead when the weather improves.
