The Manx Wildlife Trust have fenced off an area of Cronk Y Bing Nature Reserve to protect nesting birds.
The measures are to protect the endangered Ringed Plover, which are a Bird of Conservation Concern on the Isle of Man.
Anyone found disturbing these birds while nesting could face a fine of up to £10,000.
The Trust has fenced off 710m of the upper beach to prevent people and their dogs damaging eggs or disturbing adults and their chicks.
