Some pupils at Castle Rushen High School are being told to stay home due to staff absence.
Year 10 pupils are being told not to attend today (27 January), meanwhile year nine are asked not to go in on Friday (28 January).
In a letter from the school's headteacher - Keith Winstanley - he says with the constraints of illness - they will try to provide some remote learning.
He has apologised, but admitted he isn't sure if the school will be able to teach all years next week.
