Firefighters were mobilised this morning after a kitchen fire broke out at the Ellen Vannin Hotel in Douglas.
Crews were called to the scene on Loch Promenade at 10.20am and on arrival saw smoke coming from the rear of the building.
The first team entered the building and neutralised the flames whilst a second team was deployed to search for a resident who was unaccounted for.
A lady was found by personnel and safely brought out to fresh air.
The Fire Service then checked the area over for hot spots and ventilated the smoke-logged premises.
The Ellan Vannin hotel remains open for business and services are unaffected by the incident.
