Firefighters were called out to an electrical blaze earlier.
The incident happened at 8.20am, when crews from Douglas and Castletown found an electrical box alight at a home in Santon.
It had sparked a fire which was threatening to spread.
Manx Utilities turned off the power so firefighters could tackle the blaze.
The Fire and Rescue Service says it spent around an hour and a half at the scene.
