Ramsey and Kirk Michael fire crews were called out to two kitchen fires today.
At around 11:30am this morning, crews responded to reports of a fire at The Threshold in Jurby - the cause was found to be an electrical fault on a fridge freezer.
While at the scene, crews received a second call at around 12:00pm reporting a kitchen fire at The Grosvenor in Andreas - the cause of the fire was an overheated deep fat fryer.
Both fires were extinguished but both properties suffered extensive damage.
