Creation of European Antibiotics Awareness Day

Using antibiotics the wrong way could be causing you more damage than you might think.

The European Centre for Disease Control is naming November, 18th Antibiotic Awareness Day.

Mis-using medicinal drugs can cause your immune system to build a resisitance to the antibiotic fighting your infection.

This Sunday will raise awareness about taking antibiotics and highlight correct ways to use the drugs.

Director of Public Health Dr Kishore says problems are caused by both patients and doctors:
