Manx Missile Mark Cavendish has been denied a chance to make it a record-breaking Tour de France.
The cyclist was competing during today’s 230-kilometre stage in Italy.
He’s hoping to achieve one more victory take the record for the most individual Tour de France stage wins from Eddy Merckx who won 34.
However, today Cav came in 113th place after a crash involving other riders effectively denied him the opportunity to win the final sprint.
