Bikers Urged to Make Use of Free Crash Cards
A life saving scheme has been launched on the Island in time for TT 2010.
The Crash Card has been developed in an effort to make treating injured bikers, especially of foreign nationality, easier for Island Ambulance workers.
The small crash card will feature the name and details of the biker, including medical history and will slot inside the helmet.
It's the brainchild of a UK ambulance worker.
They are readily available around the Island throughout the TT and all bikers are encouraged to make use of the free service as it could be the difference between life and death.
Motorists are reminded however that if they are first on the scene at a crash they must under no circumstances remove the bikers helmet, they are urged to dial 999 and follow instructions.
