A man suing the chief constable and attorney general over his arrest and acquittal over an alleged Covid gathering on Laxey beach has seen 22 of his claims thrown out by a court.
Ian Christopher Kirk had sued for wrongful arrest, discrimination, violation of privacy, coercion, torture, inhumane and degrading treatment and libel following the incident in March 2021.
But Deemster Corlett said there were no reasonable grounds for the vast majority of his claims and were an abuse of process.
However, Mr Kirk's claims of harassment and violation of medical privacy were allowed to proceed.
