An 18 year old from Douglas has been spared jail after being caught smoking cannabis while serving a suspended sentence.
Ross James McWhinnie of Holly Grove in Pulrose admitted possessing the class B drug when he appeared before magistrates this week.
The court heard police went to his girlfriend's home in Ramsey on February 2 where they found him smoking the drug while a young child slept in an adjacent bedroom.
Magistrates chose not to activate his prison term, but warned him he was on his last chance - they fined him £100 and ordered him to pay £125 costs.
