A Douglas man will stand trial after being accused of punching his girlfriend in the face.
30-year-old Geoffrey Ronald Barber, of Mona Drive, appeared at Douglas Courthouse earlier this week via live video link.
He was told committal proceedings - where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery - will take place on May 23rd.
He's charged with assaulting the woman, at his home address, and causing grievous bodily harm on March 18th.
It's alleged the victim, who is 23, suffered a fracture to her face.
There was no application for bail and he was remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until his next court appearance.
