An Island couple say they've been left horrified and embarrassed after a shop refused to accept a £50 note.
Paul and Susan Chambers say they walked out of the store after Dealz on Stand Street in Douglas wouldn't take the new UK note.
After they complained on the company's website, Dealz says it's simply its policy - legally stores can choose not to accept payments.
The company says it's for operational and security reasons.
