A couple from Laxey will stand trial after denying stealing more than £18,000 from a club set up to support a world record attempt.
52-year- old Ann Maria McGrath and 44-year- old David Paul Hodgson appeared at Douglas Courthouse this week.
Both entered a not guilty plea to an offence of stealing the money from members of the Lonan Gentlemen's Fellowship Sponsors Club between 2013 and 2015.
The court was told the dup, from Pinfold Hill, were both members of the committee.
The organisation was set up to back Manx team's attempt to set world landspeed records on motorbikes in America.
A trial will take place at the Court of General Gaol Delivery - committal proceedings to the court will take place on August 29; the pair have been bailed until then.
