A senior Douglas councillor has expressed his disappointment at the DOI for cancelling this year's Douglas fireworks display.
It's the second year in a row the event has been called off because of roadworks on Douglas promenade.
Councillor Stephen Pitts says he only found out the event would have to be scrapped on Tuesday (Oct 19).
Councillor Pitts told 3FM he places the blame firmly at the door of the department:
