Douglas Council is urging motorists to have patience with the numerous road works going on around the town.
Significant investment is being made on the highways with major work taking place on the promenades and Peel Road.
The works have resulted in slower moving traffic around those areas - particularly during the busy morning and evening rush hours.
Council leader David Christian says the long queues can be an annoyance but is urging people to see the bigger picture:
