Douglas Borough Council wants to create a permanent poppy memorial marking 100 years since the armistice.
In their planning application, they say they want to 'create a lasting tribute to the fallen and those involved in conflicts'.
The memorial would be placed on Douglas Head, where they currently have a large flower bed poppy.
The proposal has been put forward by head of parks, David Hewes.
