Douglas Borough Council says it will be stamping down on anyone caught littering in the town.
It says it’s is a deeply antisocial practice that blights the image presented to residents, businesses and visitors.
The Council has recently prosecuted a man for fly-tipping on land belonging to Isle of Man Railways – enforcing a fine of over £400.
Councillor Ritchie McNicholl says it’s simply not acceptable:
