Setting out a new 15-year-plan for the future of Douglas Golf Course could reduce the burden on ratepayers.

The council says it's seeking 'new but compatible' recreational uses for the course and wants to protect it as a community asset which can be enjoyed by a wider 'non-golfing' audience.
