Repairing and refurbishing the Loch Promenade Kiosk is set to cost £65,000.
A report to Douglas Council's housing and property committee says the local authority had set aside around £10,000 to refurbish the facility on the prom.
However, in January a severe storm had blown its roof off and damaged fittings inside.
As a result, roof repairs will cost around £55,500 while repairing the fittings will cost another £10,000 - members heard it's not yet known how much of that figure would be covered by insurance.
