‘Misleading’ comments have led to concerns that local authority tenants are not paying enough rent.
That’s according to Douglas Council which says it wants to clarify its process of rent collection.
It says comments made in the House of Keys implied rent was only collected for 50 weeks of the year.
Whilst this is factually correct, the council says it is misleading as tenants are charged for 52 weeks.
The Council says it is happy to set the record straight.
