Applications are open until August 16 for those interested in being the 8th person to take up the position.
The paid role goes to the Island's 'most worthy poet,' and involves performing at events throughout the year and attending selected festivals across the British Isles to help highlight Manx culture.
Applicants are asked to send in three poems, with more information on how to enter on the Manx Bard Facebook page.
