Should cohabiting couples get the same support from government as married people when one of them dies?
Tynwald will hear a question from Douglas Central MHK Ann Corlett when the court sits on Tuesday.
She'll ask Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allinson whether Bereavement Support Payments could be extended to include couples living together.
At present, if spouses or civil partners pass away, the government can pay a lump sum of £3,000 as well as weekly payments for up to 78 weeks - but the system makes no provision for unmarried couples.
