Consultation Period on Criminal Justice Bill Extended

Members of the public have little over two weeks left to have their say on the controversial Criminal Justice Bill.

The bill aims to offer increased protection to vulnerable members of the Island’s community, especially children and the elderly.

There have been fears raised in Tynwald that such a bill could turn the Island into a police state, however claims that the bill will enable police to enter homes without warrants are untrue.
