After 9 months of intense treatment and recovery Conor Cummins will be back in the saddle today as he gets to grip with his new machine.
The Ramsey Rocket has travelled to Spain for a test run, heralding his first time on a bike since his serious crash on senior race day in last years TT.
Conor sustained a fractured back, badly broken left arm and a dislocated knee.
He has this week been given the all clear from the doctor who dealt with his back, he is now focussing all his efforts on being up to standard in time for this years TT.
He attributes his relatively swift recovery to daily visits to the Hyperbaric Chamber and good surgeons.
Conor is hoping to compete in the British Championships and the North West 200 in preparation for the TT, although he has said he will be sensible in his decision and only pursue it if he feels 100% ready.
