Concerns have been raised over the possible knock-on effects of a new ferry service for the Island.
It's after a new company revealed plans to compete with the Steam Packet Company.
Ellan Vannin Line says it will be launching a freight service later this year with a passenger service promised next year.
The Steam Packet has already said it would be forced to increase the price of its passenger tickets to combat the loss in freight revenue if this goes ahead.
