Garff Commissioners says it fears for the future of Laxey Post Office following the approval of a new postal strategy.
Officials there say they've expressed their feelings after Tynwald gave the green light for a new retail plan which will see a series of changes come into effect.
The authority now wants to hear the views of local residents on the matter and resolved at its November meeting to write a letter to central government to express the concerns.
Those living in the area who wish to have their say are being invited to send their views to admin@garff.im .
