Corporatising the Isle of Man Post Office would mean less political involvement in the operation of the service.
That's according to the independent expert who's recommended that it becomes a government owned service instead of a statutory board.
It says the change would be good for the long-term viability of the office - the Treasury would own the new limited company and set its aims and objectives.
