What can we do to get more children playing outside?
That’s the question being posed by The Children’s Centre which is hosting a conference next month to discuss the subject in more detail.
Experts in the field – including one of the UK’s leading thinkers on childhood and a leading play work theorist - will attend the conference.
Earlier this year the charity conducted a survey to see how attitudes have changed – with 90 per cent of parents saying they played outside more than their children do now.
Play development officer Chris Gregory says it’s about responding to a culture change:
Record number of seal pups recorded
Proposed laws could mean free period products
Unemployment fell slightly last month
GP waiting times to be raised in House of Keys tomorrow
Waves higher than predicted on crossing which damaged cars
Spitfire flights to be launched from Ronaldsway
