Authorities are warning of another scam targeting residents in recent days.
The constabulary says con artists are sending messages claiming to be 'DVLA Electronic Vehicle Licensing' informing potential targets their vehicle isn't currently taxed as a recent debit payment has failed and to login into an account using a link in the message.
However, officers have taken to social media to warn residents the contact is in fact bogus.
They also recently stated in a separate post that legitimate companies will never ask you for personal or financial details up front.
