 
                            An Island man once recognised for his unique computer bus service is set to retire next month.
At an event at Sulby School on Tuesday the vehicle was switched off for the final time - Education Minister, Dr Alex Allinson MHK, is describing Mr Townsend as an 'innovator' and someone who's 'inspired several generations'.
For his vision, Mr Townsend was also recognised by tech giant Apple in 2014 which named him on a list of pioneers who made a profound impact with their computers.
