Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly says rules are in place to make sure company names aren't offensive - but very few people fall foul of them.
This week, confectioner Cocomofo revealed it had rebranded as Evil Eye Unbakery after the company registry rejected its original name.
Mr Skelly says guidance is issued by the register when people first apply for their company name.
But he says the rules aren't very restrictive:
