Commuter traffic this evening may be impacted by more heavy rain

Commuter traffic may be impacted this evening as more heavy rain is expected. 

The Department of Infrastructure says rain will persist into the early evening, with accumulations expected to be between 5-15mm.

It adds that although a weather warning has not been issued, the amount of rain there's been recently means water is likely to gather on roads in prone locations.

This may have an impact on commuter traffic, with drivers asked to bear this in mind when travelling.
