A Willaston woman who admitted biting a police officer's backside has been ordered to do 200 hours of community service.
36 year old Joanne Laurinda Watterson of Watterson Lane appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes this week after pleading guilty to assaulting a police officer.
The court heard she'd been drunk when the offence was committed on March 11 and had a previous conviction for assaulting three officers in 2003.
However, her advocate Ian Kermode told the court his client was on her way to setting up her own business and addressing her binge drinking.
Watterson was also ordered to pay £250 compensation to the officer and £125 prosecution costs.
