A Douglas man caught with just under a gramme of class A drugs has been ordered to do community service.
Karl Allen Cameron of Cronk y Berry in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse after previously admitting possessing heroin.
The court heard the 30 year old had 0.8 grammes of the drug when he was arrested by police on June 27.
Mrs Hughes was told Cameron had gone cold turkey in prison to kick his drug habit and his last drugs conviction was for possessing cannabis more than a decade ago.
She ordered him to do 100 hours of unpaid work and pay £125 towards prosecution costs.
