MLC Tony Wild has been banned from driving and ordered to carry out 180 hours of community service.
The 57-year-old was sentenced at Douglas Courthouse today after previously admitting drink driving.
Police stopped him in Laxey on December 12th last year after reports of his "erratic driving" - he was over three times the legal limit.
Wild has a year to carry out the voluntary work and has been banned from driving for five years.
