Port St Mary golf course consultation: 'Tell us your passions and interests' say commissioners.
Port St Mary Commissioners have launched a consultation to gauge public opinion on what the land should be used for when the lease comes to an end in September.
A survey will be sent to each house in the village so commissioners can hear back from the community.
A spokesman said there are no plans to sell the land to developers.
Commissioner Chair, Bernadette Williams said: "The Board would like to engage with the residents of the village to see where their passions and interests lie and to ensure that we are not just rolling over leases but exploring all options for the benefit and future of the village.
"We are really excited to see the responses from the consultation, be it that additional and improved facilities are required at the Golf Course, or that the residents would like to see a new direction taken with regards to recreational activities on the land".
The consultation is running until March 7 with drop in sessions taking place at the Town Hall on January 26.
