Could new 20mph sign poles be used to mount speed cameras in future?
That's one of the worries raised by Onchan commissioners during a meeting with the district's MHKs.
The board met Julie Edge and Rob Callister last month to discuss issues including the proposed 20mph zones, and the now-published minutes show they described the consultation as 'meaningless' as well as accusing the Department of Infrastructure of handling the issue unprofessionally.
The local authority members also said they were worried the poles for the signs would eventually be used to introduce speed cameras.
