Commissioners in Port Erin say they're concerned about the amount of concrete, steel rebar and tyres buried under a former campsite.
A Freedom of Information request has shown emails between chair Hannah Mackenzie and the government about the issue.
She says demolition waste was buried under the Rearyt Vradda site - the company leasing it from the local authority collapsed in May.
In her emails, she accuses the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture of 'apathy' over the issue, and called for Minister Clare Barber to intervene.
