A local authority in the south of the Island has recommended a public sector rent rise of almost twice the rate of inflation.
Port Erin Commissioners met this week, when they discussed a letter from the Department of Infrastructure asking for their views.
Board minutes show members considered the potential impact of rent rises on tenants, as well as housing deficiency and future investment.
They've told the DOI they support a six per cent increase - inflation current stands at 3.3 per cent.
