A planning application on a flat seeking additional use as tourist accommodation in Ramsey has been supported by the commissioners.
That’s despite strong objections from Commissioner Juan McGuinness who said the location is already on travel website booking.com and appears to be retrospective.
There were also concerns about the proximity of the building to the commissioner’s housing, but Commissioner Stephen Kelly said the flats have their own roads and parking.
Support for the application was given due to a failed motion to object to it.
