Port Erin Commissioners says it’s included a swimming pool rate in its budget in the hopes that the Southern Swimming Pool won’t close.
Chair of the local authority Godfrey Egee is urging residents to share a petition and contact government representatives.
Its closure was announced last Thursday which was decided on ‘financial grounds’ and Tynwald members will get the chance to vote on it next month.
Mr Egee says the board would only agree to pay 6p from the rateable value if the government agreed to increase its support.
