Commissioners' rent error made me overdrawn, says Peel tenant

Social housing tenants in Peel say they've been knocked into the red by a rent collection error.

A number of people took to Facebook after a payment was taken last week - only to find two weeks' rent has been taken from their accounts this week.

One person says they're overdrawn at the bank as a result, while others say they too have paid extra without being told.

A number of people reported they hadn't had any rent payments taken last week and were told they'd make up the shortfall in this payment cycle.
